My story has been anything but linear.
I started at the bottom of the business totem pole, working in the back of the stock room at Macys for $14/hour along side ex-convicts.
From there, I diligently worked up the ranks of retail, which lead me to a position at Nordstrom on the sales floor.
I crushed it. Selling 700k in clothes, and then moved to a corporate america role selling payroll and human resource software.
Corporate america is where my entrepreneurial spirit was ignited, basically out of pain.
I was miserable, unfulfilled, undervalued, and didn't like my job one bit.
That pain inspired me to start my own business and take the leap.
My first business was a clothing brand, and the ups and downs were immense. Extreme volatility and ignorant to my own ignorance.
For all entrepreneurs starting out, I can speak to this in depth.
I refused to quit though, and it led me to starting Phantom, which completely changed my life, hitting 98k in a single month.
I went from my own brand to building them for A list stars.
